I always assumed these were the same thing. NOPE! Mammoths were much bigger. Mammoths where about 4 meters tall while Mastadons where only 2-3 meters tall. Mastadons were 8 tons while Mammoths were 10 tons. Boy, don’t you feel silly for thinking they were the same now?
